VISITOR & MEMBER GUEST TEE BOOKING

These are the terms and conditions for booking an individual or small number of visitors and members guests using the on-line booking system or via the Professional.

Payment & Cancellation Policy

• For online bookings payments can be made by Credit or Debit card at time of booking. 
• A refund will only be given if a booking is cancelled no later than 72 hours before the due date. Cancellation notices must be directed to the Finance office or the Professional shop.
• Any catering cancelled within the  48 hour period, 50% of the catering costs will still need to be paid by the organiser. 

Course Closed

• If you are unable to play your round of golf due to the course being closed (e.g. bad weather), a full refund will be given.

Booking Transferable

• The booking is completely transferable; therefore should you be unable to make your tee time you can offer it to someone else, such as a family member or friend, or move it to a later charge.

On Arrival

• You should report to the Professional shop before beginning your round. 

Handicaps

• Visitor tee booking is available to golfers capable of playing to a handicap of 28 or less (Men) or 36 or less (Ladies). You may be asked to produce a handicap certificate or Society membership details.

OPEN COMPETITIONS

• These are the terms and conditions for booking Open Competitions tee times, using our online booking system.

Handicaps

• All players must have an Active handicap and may be asked to produce a Handicap Certificate on the day of the competition and details that can be checked via the online Central Database of Handicaps (CDH).
• Handicap Limits apply - 28 for Men and 36 for Ladies.

Liability Policy

• Market Harborough Golf Club regrets that it cannot accept liability for articles lost damaged or stolen either in the clubhouse, facilities or in the car park. The car park is locked over night but it is a leave your car at your own risk.

Bar & Catering Terms & Conditions

Members Matches, Societies & Corporate days

To secure your booking, we require 50% of your total bill payable by BACS to HSBC Bank, Sort Code 40-32-04, Account Number 81743759 or by cheque payable to Market Harborough Golf Club Ltd. We need final numbers, catering requirements and FULL PAYMENT at least TWO weeks in advance of your visit. We reserve the right to charge in full for any reduction in numbers not notified to us at least TWO WEEKS prior to the event.

Organisers of events held at MHGC shall ensure that they provide suitable care for any venerable persons attending. MHGC has a disabled toilet facility in the clubhouse.

Private Function Bookings:

Anyone wishing to hire any part of Market Harborough Golf Club function facilities must be over the age of 18. This contract is to inform you of the following terms and conditions of hire which apply before you continue with your event. 18th Birthday celebrations are not permitted.

Payment details and terms

A booking enquiry will be held for 72 hours, after that a confirmation and payment of £100.00 to secure the booking is required. Enquiries without payment aren’t  guaranteed. Full payment with final numbers is required 7  days before the event. If an account bar is requires a bond will be required against drinks bought, we will serve drinks until the limit of the bond is reached or if the value of the bond not reached a refund will be made within 7 working days. Please note, any deposits are non refundable and non transferable.

Cancellation charges

In the unlikely event of a cancellation the following charges will apply:

A refund will only be given if a booking is cancelled no later than 72 hours before the due date.

Cancellation more than 28 days – no charge

Cancellation less than 28 days – 50% of room hire charge

Cancellation less than 7 days – 100% of room hire charge

The hirer is personally responsible for the behaviour of all persons attending the function. Members of staff reserve the right to request any person attending the function, whose behaviour or presence is deemed not to be in the best interests of Market Harborough Gold Club, to leave the premises forthwith. No persons are allowed on the putting green or course. The room must be vacated no later than 1.00am.

Business Interruptions

Market Harborough Golf Club retain the right to cancel any booking without obligation due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to, fire, floods, acts of God or by the order of national or local authority then the hirer will receive a full refund of any amount actually paid.

Food & Drinks

No food or beverages either alcoholic or non alcoholic may be brought onto any part of the premises (this includes the buildings and grounds belonging to Market Harborough Golf Club) without prior permission except for celebrations/wedding cakes. All conditions attached to liquor/music licenses for the hired premises shall be fully observed.

Loss or Damage

All persons attending a function are the responsibility of the hirer. Any damage will be the responsibility of the hirer. Damages will be charged at repair cost plus if any subsequent load of revenue. Market Harborough Golf Club regrets that it cannot accept liability for articles lost damaged or stolen either in the clubhouse, facilities or in the car park. Children

Children must be supervised at all times whilst on the clubs premises, the responsibility for the safety and supervision of children lies with the accompanying adults and hirer.

Vulnerable Persons

Hirers of events held at Market Harborough Golf Club shall ensure that they provide suitable care for any vulnerable persons attending.  MHGC has a disabled toilet facility in the clubhouse.

Decorations

Any decorations used within the function should not damage the fixtures and fittings in anyway and should be removed by the end of the agreed hours of hire. Helium balloons are permitted but any gas cylinders must be removed from the premises (empty gas cylinders are not permitted in our rubbish bins).
