There are few golf clubs that can offer so many activities for golfing couples and those ladies and gents who enjoy playing golf in mixed company.
Firstly and recently introduced, there is a Mixed Roll Up held each Sunday when there is no formally organised mixed golf activity. Simply roll up at 10:15 (for a 10:30 tee) during GMT and 11:15 (for an 11:30 tee) during the summer months of BST. May we again stress that this is for couples and individuals.
Next up the ladder are the Mixed Socials organised by the Ladies Section. These take place on a range of Sundays and the Whitsun and August Bank Holiday Mondays. Pairs are randomly drawn and the golf is followed by a meal in the clubhouse. Details are posted on the Mixed Golf noticeboard in the foyer and will be flagged up in the weekly email newsletter, Fore.
Mixed Team Matches are played against a number of clubs in Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire during the main season. Again an availability sheet is posted in the foyer and couples and individuals are urged to sign up and get involved. Selection for the teams is shared around and played in a mix of couples and drawn pairs formats.
For those who enjoy the cut and thrust of competitive mixed golf there is a Mixed Knock Out and a number of Mixed Competitions. Amongst these is the Robert Hall Week of mixed foursomes when you can play as often as you like, but with a different partner on each occasion. All details are on the Mixed Golf Diary.
Lastly MHGC has a long history of Club Competitions that are played in an open format, with entry encouraged from both ladies and gents. The range of prizes on offer takes this into account so there is always something to play for!
We look forward to welcoming old and new members to our mixed golf activities during the season.
