This is a quick reference guide designed for visitors and members. A full Adverse Weather and Course Closure policy is available to members on the Member website.
Your safety always comes first.
Play must stop whenever conditions make it unsafe to continue.
Please follow the instructions of staff, marshals, or competition officials at all times.
Fog / Poor Visibility:
Do
not start play if you cannot see the
full landing area of your shot.
Minimum safe visibility:
Around 200 yards (for the 1st, the right-hand fairway bunker and for the 10th, the right hand black and white marker post).
If fog thickens while you’re playing,
stop immediately and wait for conditions to improve.
The Club accepts
no responsibility for incidents if play continues after the course has been closed due to fog.
Lightning / Thunderstorms:
Play stops immediately if lightning is seen or thunder is heard nearby.
One long klaxon blast or verbal instruction = suspension of play.
Seek shelter in the Clubhouse or safe shelters.
Play will
not resume for at least 30 minutes after the last lightning strike.
2 short klaxon blasts or verbal information =
resumption of play.
Frost / Ice:
Morning inspections may delay opening times.
Temporary greens or tees may be in use to protect the course.
Please respect any closures or restrictions.
Heavy Rain / Flooding:
Course, holes, trolley or buggy use may be restricted when ground is waterlogged or unsafe.
Check updates via
Pro Shop,
Member golf app, or
Club website.
High Winds:
Stop play if it becomes difficult to stand or swing safely, or if debris is blowing across the course.
Avoid wooded areas and open spaces until winds ease.
Heat / High Temperatures:
Keep hydrated, use sun protection, and take shade breaks.
The Club may delay or suspend play during heat alerts.

Up-to-date course status is available via:
Website / Member golf app.
Pro Shop.
Remember:
If in doubt –
don’t tee off.
Your safety, and that of others, is always more important than finishing your round.
